Gravitas Technologies leverages Near Net Shape manufacturing technologies to create our innovative Vulloy materials.

Avionics Engineering

Near Net Shape manufacturing process uses powders to produce components that closely match their final form, enhancing both manufacturing efficiency and sustainability.

BENEFITS

Machine Component

Precision, Complexity, Customisability

Achieves complex geometries and intricate details that are challenging to obtain with traditional methods.

Technicians Working On Machine

Reduced Machining

Components require minimal post processing, reducing additional machining and finishing.

Material Utilisation

Process only uses the necessary amount of powder, enhancing the sustainability of the manufacturing process.

Forest Road

Energy & Resource Efficiency

Consumes less energy and supports material recycling, lowering emissions and conserving resources.

OUR PROCESS

Powder Processing — Blending of different powders to create a superior composition, enhancing the performance of final components.

Cold Isostatic Pressing (CIPing) — Powder is placed in a customised mould, where pressure is uniformly applied from all directions, compacting the powder into a near net shape.

Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIPing) — The compacted powder, or pre-compacted part, is loaded into a customisable can. During HIP, it is subjected to high temperature and pressure in a controlled atmosphere, eliminating porosity and defects. This process produces a final component with high density and outstanding properties.
