MECHANICAL ENGINEERING INTERN

POSITION OVERVIEW 
We are excited to offer an opportunity for enthusiastic and motivated students in Mechanical Engineering to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for candidates with a strong interest in mechanical engineering design and/or analysis who are eager to work on innovative projects. As a member of our team, you will collaborate across various disciplines, including materials, mechatronic, and electrical engineering.

 

LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES 

This position offers excellent hands-on experience throughout the entire engineering process, from design to analysis, manufacture, implementation, and testing. You will engage in a variety of tasks, providing a comprehensive understanding of mechanical engineering. This role will allow you to develop your skills in a collaborative environment while contributing to impactful projects.

KEY AREAS 

   Engineering Design and Analysis

  • ​Collaborate over engineering design processes, focusing on creating and refining detailed 3D CAD models and drawings for manufacture.

  • Conduct engineering analysis using calculations, for example FEA and / or CFD to evaluate and optimise designs.

   Project Engagement

  • Participate in innovative projects that drive sustainable and transformational global outcomes

  • Conduct engineering analysis using calculations, for example FEA and / or CFD to evaluate and optimise designs.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Currently enrolled in the 3rd or 4th year of a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. 

  • Proficiency and interest in mechanical engineering design. 

  • Strong competencies in engineering analysis. 

  • Mechanical / hands-on aptitude. 

  • Attention to detail with strong technical report writing skills. 

  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
